Ugh! It's Halloween... Kids coming out of the woodwork, dogs barking like crazy, cats trying to escape the santuary of the house...

So, I went ice diving today....first one of the season, and I took my camera with me. Dropped down to 10 ft and went to take a picture of the hole overhead....and the high performance Lithium-ion battery died. What makes it worse is that just a few minutes later my dive buddy was silhouetted against the light coming down from one of the lanes we cleared in the snow--if I had been able to take a picture and it had turned out, I swear to god it would have been postcard-worthy....

How do you deal with the cold and water? I'm guessing that you put the camera in a waterproof bag, but what about fogging and :eek freezing?
