Guys, remember that some SG personnel carry zats with them. Carter is the one that comes most readily to mind; she carried a zat, whereas O'Neill carried a regular ol' sidearm. In fact, that's one of the thing I really liked about SG-1, they each carried their own loadout, just like a regular Special Forces team. It's the little things that make the show great.

Me:

1. ZPM(to bring back after the mission is over)
2. Carter's laptop with translation software for all us plebes(that way I can use it on the planet if necessary)
3. Tollan phase-shift technology
4. Rock-climbing gear
5. Digital hi-def camcorder with extra-long batteries to make records of anything I come across, including wildlife and scenery

Don't most SG weapons come with the Kull disruptor attachment? Combine that with the knife and usual survival gear SG teams bring(flint, water tablets, extra drawers), and it's an easy detail.

Yeah, but maybe the Asgard have some kind of Vulcan nerve pinch they never had to use because their technology was so advanced. Just imagine, the Ori forces try to invade an Asgard ship. All they find is Thor, who silently puts his hands up. Then when one of the commanders gets close enough, Thor pinches a nerve, grabs the man's stunner and proceeds to level the guys in front of him.
