I like the way you think, Andy...

Seems to me that the Asgard may be few in number -- I think the most we've ever seen was that crowd huddled around (what were they doing? mingling?) in "The Fifth Race"... but they are definitely skilled in remote-based operations.

I mean, why is Thor, Supreme Commander of the Asgard Fleet, so often shown ALONE without any escorts or co-pilots or other Asgard of any sort? He always looks so LONELY on his giant ships. There must be a reason. Who knows what else those devices in the palms of their hands can do!!

I think the thing that took out Jack's 'Ancient memory' was pretty 'ickish', haha... but thats just me. Yah i also wonder why they are always alone..., well Thor at least.

They were landing pyramids under construction, not motherships

He was able to do it so easily because.... well, who was going to stop him? They had staffs, that was it

To me, its almost like the Asgard are just as few in numbers as the Tok'Ra, which would be an interesting thought since both have said on one occassion or another that they are a dying race. With the Tok'Ra to produce more Tok'Ra spawn, their numbers will diminish eventually. And the asgard, despite all their technology, are having the problem with genetic mitosis (cloning) in which they are running out of clones, since making a copy of a copy of a copy can produce a copy with cellular deteoriation. Kind of like Michael Keaton in Multiplicity when they made #4.. He was, as you say, "special". (I Like pizza... *puts slice of pizza in wallet*).

So with the Tok'Ra not having their numbers multiply, and the Asgard and their lack of ability to multiply, they are in a sense, dying species. (course there is always that humanoid Asgard...)

Yes, hopefully both races can do some 'good' before they die out, haha...

The Tok'ra are very useful to us because they helped us with that weapon against the super soldiers

The Asgard are useful all the time. Because we have saved them nearly every day, they are greatful

Well, I wouldnt go out and say all the time when talking about the Asgard. I would say maybe 1/3 of the time, especially since in Season 7, when they were needed, they didnt respond at all. (Didnt even get the voicemail)

i would say the asguard, they have had space flight fo well over 30,000 years. not to metion they can travel from to a neighbor galaxy in extremly fast speeds.
