I just find it funny how you are trying to restrict his by exercising yours.

I do admit he shouldn't have made the comment, in the interest of flameless posts, but americans are kinda arrogant, you guys name everything your own way, act like you are the gods of the world etc

One example, american football, notice people of other countries don't call it japanese football, or chinese football, its just football, and the english invented it, you just call it soccer, but anyways, its american football, why not just call it rugby instead of naming everything after your super nation.

What really makes me laugh however is the fact that if you think about it, NONE of you "americans" are ACTUALLY americans, just trace your family tree back a generation or two and you'll find you came from some other country.

The only true americans are indians

But none of this is meant as a flame, just a view, take it as offence if you must, but thats just another example of the arrogance if you do as you stomp in here to defend your super nation against the tyranny of my blasphemous words ... gah! someone insulting our country? lets explode and flame the crap out of him until he realises his mistake and admits we are gods walking!

Heh, but yeah, as mentioned in previous posts on other threads, enemy ships tend to move at the speed of plot, not strict science, this is why you have the hyperdrive of an Ori ship taking that long to reach Chulak, yet in Unending you have ships capable of keeping up with Odyssey with an asgard hyperdrive with both its own powersource and a ZPM powering it, as previous episodes have mentioned a BC-304s drive with only a ZPM takes 4 days to reach atlantis as opposed to the 18 without, so you can do the math on that one and draw your own conclusions
What a terrible post to revive a YEAR OLD THREAD WITH.

First of all, freedom of speech DOES NOT APPLY to private forums. The owners of gateworld can regulate speech on these forums IN ANY WAY THAT THEY PLEASE. Thats how the law works, and it works that way for a reason.

Secondly, if I'm born in America, I am an American. My ancestors don't make any difference whatsoever, all that matters is MY OWN place of birth.

Third, we don't know how fast the Ori ships can travel through hyperspace since its never been stated and we have 0 canon evidence to indicate their speed. All we can assume is that they are advanced enough to travel from galaxy to galaxy and that perhaps the time taken between destinations may not have been represented well on screen.

Not really.. The Rebel Alliance made great use of fighters only, in many engagements, due to their possessing hyperdrives. If all the fighters on a 304 had hyperdrives, they could 'jump' in, launch the fighters, and if the shields got pounded too much, jumo away with out having to worry that the fighters would get stranded.. or stay behind to pick them back up.

I would like to point out that this isnt exactly true.

Americans don't call it "American Football", it's just football to them, It's other countries who refer to it like that. Plus it's not Rugby, it's a similar but different sport. There is one other country with a name far worse than that, "Australian rules Football"

By the the way you are stating it, the Aussies must have massive ego's, ones that rival the super powered americans to declare in their sports title that they rule football. It's a very clever piece of double word play going on there.

Plus like American football, it's not exactly rubgy either, just a different version.

That's not true either. The only people in America known as american are typically white people with no accents or traits relating to their background. African American, Irish American, Italian American, Jewish American, hell, even other places do it like French Canadian. Just being born in America isn't exactly enough to earn you the title of just american.

        That's true.

The Star Wars fighters made much better escorts because they were able to travel with the ship instead of having to be launched from the ships. In case of an emergency, they could always use that engine to escape instead of having to return to a carrier. Look at BSG, how many times as the galactica needed to stay behind to collect one or two ships being left behind, leaving the entire ship and crew vunerable to attack.

Hyperdrive engines of the ships would be a good thing, because if you look at the last episode of season 3 of Atlantis, you have to admit that having a Jumper or F-302 that could enter hyperdrive as a good thing.

I've always thought the 302 needed more armaments anyways, as I've only ever seen them use missiles, any half decent ecm and they are next to useless lol.

PS: I didn't check the dates in each thread in this post, I saw it on new posts, so therefore, not over a year old when I posted

Yes, these are public forums, where anyone can register and post, what comes after is the admins decision, therefore, it is indeed freedom of speech, so please lower yourself from that high horse. Private forums are the like where its contents cannot be seen publically without membership and you need to be approved/invited to join.
