They arn't releasing the names of the winners or posting the videos on thier website until the 29th when the voting begins but I recieved an e-mail earlier today stating that I had made it into the top ten.

I got an email saying my video is going to be in the finals, so I guess I made it to the top ten. I can hardly wait til the 29th, when we can see all the other finalists. I just love watching videos like this!

It would appear that non-US residents cannot register at this site, so not only could we not enter a vid in the contest, we cannot vote either. I have sent them an e-mail just to be sure. If any non-US res had managed to register, I'd like to know.

Hi there,

I got the following reply to my e-mail to the contest runners re the exclusion of non-US residents.

"Unfortunately, the legal issue extends to voting as well. We are working
with our lawyers on this issue and trying to find solutions for future
contests. We know that there are Stargate fans across the world who want to show their support, but needed these rules to be able to award the cash
prize. We will find a way to open future contests up to international
entries, but it's taking some time."

At least they are acknowledging the problem, and are trying to resolve it for the future

Didn't mcguiver teach you guys anything? If something is in your way find some way to get around it!!

I am not from the US and thus should not be able to sign in and vote on which video i like most, im guessing the more votes that come in the higher the support looks for SG1. Where am i going to find a US zip code?? :O

Well there are 100's of ways to get one, but i stick with my favorite because its obvious....

Beverly Hills.....90210 it works on every site every time. Just say you live in California and your zip codes 90210 and you can vote, simple. Comes in handy on like every US voting site.

Sadly though this doesn't help if you want to add a video yourself and win! Unless there is some kind of po box type thing over in the states where you could have your winnings etc sent to be forwarded hehe. Anyway vote away people vote away!!!
