    Mmm. Sniffing.
Well, pheremones are supposed to play a large part in attraction, are they not?
As for the sniffing being unprofessional... weeeellll... if it was loud and obvious then yes, it would be unprofessional and just plain weird...
If it was a subtle, unthinking little sniff, however, I think it'd be quite difficult to use as evidence for court-martial...
That said, I do think you make a good point!

It's o.k. Gipsy and Madeline. You just tell yourselves whatever you have to to get through the day.

Actually I only think Jack sniffed Sam when I'm talking to MC because, well, because it's fun.

It was, is, and always will be GREEN

I'll join you in a CKK to celebrate (belatedly) my 1,000th. But only cos you are not one of the infidel sniffists.

I can willingly believe that Richard Dean Anderson did sniff Amanda Tapping in both instances.
Yeah, but the thing is, if it shows up on screen then Jack did it!

In Chimera It's hard to tell*. Assuming he did sniff, he didn't have the "mmm, bisto" look, or the "she's wearing Impulse, better nip out for a bunch of flowers" look; so I'm guessing she had just been fixing her bike and had that engine oil aroma

*Largely cos I can't be bothered to watch it.
He sniffed her because he's in love with her, and wanted to smell the essence of Sam Carter.
