Joe Mallozzi posted in his blog (and I'm paraphrasing slightly) that online fans are mindless and ill-informed lemmings who complain shrilly about things they have no idea about (this was all concerning the SGA season 4 cast changes and so on). Instead of being offended, a lot of people found it quite funny and have banded together to form the lemming club. The thread is in the fandom section.

Okay, I know I havent updated the giaquake update in a while and i am sorry. i would like to update it but som much stuff has happened since I last edited it so i am asking all team leaders, department heads, or just anyone who is doing somethin significant to please PM me with what that is.

I have joined already, but am awaiting on assignment upon an SG team right now. And was just wondering what has really happened so far in the RPG.

I edited out the old outaded stuff in Giaia Quake but desperately need information to make it half decent.

Gaia quake - Some power has been restored to the base. Both from auxilary generators and battery backups. Damage crews have been through the base and a complete damage assessment is being computerized.
The Infirmary is functioning, as is the Mess Hall. People are allowed to re-occupy their quarters although lighting is at a minimun.
The Gate Room and Control Room are being cleaned up and salvaged equipment is being sorted in the Hangar Bay.
The DHD is destroyed, the Gate is non-functioning. It can't even receive a wormhole.

Major Beale has been rescued from the Brig. Ber'lak, the Goa'ul who had taken him over, jumped into an SF and was killed trying to escape. Hutchinson, Holland, and Beale are all in the Infirmary.
Cadet Clayton is in the Infirmary after having gotten the snot punched out of her by Major Howard and Dr. Winchester.
General Blue is under restraint in the Infirmary pending a decision on whether the symbiote inside of him is a Goa'uld or a Tok'ra.
Dr. (Colonel) Lancaster is actually in charge of the Alpha-site at this time.
Major Howard, Dr. Winchester and Dr. Steele (NPC) are in Foreston delivering a baby.

The Beta-site is the back up location for teams to report. There are three F-302's there. Transport time back to Gaia is 12 hours. Watch the SG-1 Mission thread for new developments.

As of today (29 Jan), the teams are in a briefing with the CO and some are being escorted to locations on the base.

I am sort of lost. I don't really know were to post to first come into the game. Because of the damages and stuff, I don't really know what to do.

Post at the Beta Site, they're fine, and a pilot has flown back from the Alpha Site to brief the personnel there. Lt. Jacen Richards and Lt. Rich Dobson of SG-7, Captain Charles York, Lt. Lance Tallon, and a few others from SG-6 (basically the whole team of SG-6 except Beale, who was in the brig with a snake )

I initially brought Hutchinson on as a transfer from the Beta Site when I introduced him, and McKinnon (now in the AU mission) was a pilot at the Beta Site. You could try to interact with the crew there (if they're around posting) or have Col. Hanes send you to the Alpha Site with an NPC pilot (if your char. isn't a pilot) with an update for Gen. Blue and an offer to send whatever is needed. Just a thought.

You mean only Dobson.

Clayton and Howard never went on the mission, Anderson's gone and Hutchinson came back.

*grovels* Sorry TJ, totally my bad. The only SG7 left there are Richards and Dobson as your chars and Hutchinson are elsewhere.

How's teaching going the last couple of weeks? Things here are going well. It's always nice to see the look on a student's face when they've been having a little trouble and they finally "get it".... definitely makes it worthwhile
