Problems with a GateWorld Ad? - Provide Ad DETAILS

Every time this ad tries to load, the entire page freezes - ib.adnxs.com It's happened a half-dozen times or so this afternoon in different threads, always the same ad.

That link could be malware piggybacking in on that ad.Hopefully your comp security's already blocked that,hence the slow load.

Are you still seeing the same advert(s) at the top or base of threads,because to track/block the source,Darren's got to send as much info as he can to have the ads removed.

I can't figure out which ad hates my tablet, but it is probably the same one. It causes my web app to crash.

Which tablet are you using? ( Apple Ipad or something different?)

Technically it is a question for GW. if it wasnt a legitimate Ad, why was it on here. but seeing as it is legit you have made a fair point

This isn't about an ad per se, but about clicking on the GW url and a myspace page appeared. Interweb gremlins...

Pop-Up ads/surveys should never appear but if they DO ,please cap/post them in here.

This is one I've capped : it was zatted last week, but has anyone else noticed it re-appear again yesterday/today?

Not a horrid problem, but one of the new ads is stretching the forum, both when it appears on the bottom or on the top.

Looks like the ad was formatted wrongly at the source.( Ie the width should be the depth and vice versa.)

Mailed a link through to Darren.

Update : Darren couldn't get to the ad url.If it re-appears he'll be able to trace it and send the info off,if you (or anyone else affected) can capture the links at the foot of the screen.

Easier said than done,I know!

Pop-up ads for surveys etc shouldn't be getting through at all.

I'll send Darren a link so he can take a look,but without the url for the ad often there's nothing he can do, because he needs to know which ad supplier to contact.

The domain url sometimes shows up at the bottom of the forum page whilst the ad loads or ( if you're lucky) the details show on "Mouse-over" and can be capped, but don't risk your computer by clicking on the ad/pop-up itself.

* Just a thought: check your settings in your comp/device in case you've got all pop-ups enabled or low firewalls either at home or work.

Here is the link Baggie. I have been getting the same thing every so often. I think the survey link is affected by whatever thread the survey ad appears. You'll notice part of the URL is the same as a GW thread

When I click that link I just get taken to the thread itself (link)...but I have the sub that shows the url & ad details,so I've sent that to Darren.

It was took me to the ad last night. Their is probably a reason. A reason that is way above my knowledge of computers

I've added "questionmarket.com" and "lifelock.com" (which has been auto-spawning a second window when the ad it loaded, at least on SciFiStream.com) to the Google Adsense block list. Hopefully that will clobber them.
