And I turn that question back to you: Really? Are they in high school? As soon as they get bored, they shirk their duties and have sex in supply closets?
An unfortunate choice, IMO.
And I question the wisdom in this move. Edgier = More sex scenes?
Look, it's not to everyone's tastes and that's fine. I may think it's funny that there's such a big deal being made over this 15-30 second sex scene when a whole lot more morally reprehensible things have happened on SG-1 and SGA with hardly a whimper being heard from the fanbase. Even SGU dealt with an interesting moral dilemma early on and I've yet to hear anyone comment on it or question the writers' decisions or even discuss the matter.
So we can debate this 'till we're both blue in the face, but I doubt we'll ever come to a consensus. I'm convinced that on a dramatic, science fiction television, the occasional sex scene is not out place. I'm not looking for this to become light pornography, but neither am I interested in some unrealistic portrayal of adult relationships where all these people do is "make out."
You didn't like it and don't agree with it shown. That's your prerogative and I respect that.
Now is it possible to discuss something other than sex?sigpic
