Sigh...with all the angst and anxiety floating around...I just thought I'd post this...to put a nice picture in your mind before North America toddles off to bed (as I am about to do). lll lll
Oh most *definitely* an emotional reaction! *sob* *sniff* And I too was glad
Spoiler:
that they didn't wait until next season to hit reset...seeing everyone alive and well again...er...at least until the explosion...did a lot to make me feel better by the end of the episode. I too thought it was really well done. I just ached for Rodney...something that I would have been hard pressed to do most other episodes!
And not to turn this into an SGA forum, but I just have to add...
Spoiler:
that the ultimate in irony is that Carson and Elizabeth are the two people responsible for this mess in the Pegasus galaxy...and neither of them lived to see the sad consequences of their decisions. I love their characters...but oh they took such a wrong path on this one!
Okay. I'm done now. And to make up for it...
More angst!
How about...
"There is no way in Netu I'm leaving him on that planet and you'd better be prepared to shoot me General Hammond cuz I'm going back one way or another" angst
Oh yes....she's absolutely furious! She's ready to tell Hammond where he can stick it and march right back through that gate. She hates everybody in that room but her team right now.
It takes dozens of big guns to get her to stand down and even then youn can see her considering it.

Hey shippers! Sam and Jack could have gotten married this year, if not sooner, since distance doesn't mean a thing in Montana: Marriage by Proxy
Scroll down to where the couple from the Air Force got married long-distance. If I could have squeed, I would have when I read that part. Why not Washington/Colorado or Washington/Pegasus galaxy?
It could happen!
edit: OOhh- Danny and Teal'c could be the stand-ins. I'd pay to see that!

Oh she was most definitely considering it...
An excerpt...from a little midnight trip Jack takes with the Ghost of Christmas Past....
Spoiler:
A young SF moved forward; Sam, Jack noted, placed her hands protectively over her P90.
“…escort them to the infirmary.”
Sam didn’t budge. She glared…glared! at Hammond.
“With or without reinforcements, we are going back, sir,” she insisted, moving her weapon to a defensive stance. It did not go unnoticed by the general. The threat, whether implied or real, was enough for him. Jack was so stunned at seeing Sam on the verge of disobeying a direct order he could only gape.
“The hell you are!…relinquish your weapons.”
The set of Sam’s jaw told Jack she had absolutely no intention of obeying. Hammond must have realized it too. And it must have killed him to issue the next order:
“Airmen….:
Suddenly a half dozen semi-automatic weapons were trained on Sam and the rest of SG-1. Jack saw her run an assessing eye over the threat. Damn. She wasn’t actually thinking she could take them all on, was she?
“Sam…” he said aloud. “Don’t….”
“She can’t…” Kawalsky began, but Jack cut him off.
“Hear me…I know…all right? I know! What the hell is she thinking?” Jack stifled the urge to step in front of her—to shield her from all those deadly barrels pointing in her direction.
“Major Carter,” Hammond’s voice was in dead earnest. “I will authorize the use of force unless you relinquish those weapons immediately.”
“C’mon, Sam…stand down….” Jack couldn’t help but mutter to himself.
Arrows shot from Sam’s eyes, first to Hammond then to the rest of the airmen who half encircled her, Daniel and Teal’c. Her anger and frustration were palpable. Jack could read it all over her face. Finally, apparently deciding that there wasn’t much getting accomplished this way, she lowered her weapon and reluctantly…very reluctantly, unhooked it from her vest. Even though he already knew how this would go down, he sighed with relief. Jack could never remember seeing a more insubordinate look on Sam’s face--especially not directed at Hammond. Even after she had handed off her P90, she continued to glare at the general with a mixture of anger and betrayal, paying no heed to either of her two companions. Then, with a jerk of her shoulders to ward off any attempt at someone touching her, she stalked out of the gate room without a look backward.
My kids know the show just about as well as I do. They are not necessarily happy about that. I'm still trying to convert them!
My daughter will be mortally embarrassed when I give her the 10 Season Collector's Edition for her class basket for the charity auction (it's a little private school).
Right up until the cute geeky guys tell her how cool that is.
And I know for a fact one of the other moms is dying to bid on the basket because of that set of DVDs. (She loves Jack).

"Flutter". To rhyme with "gutter". Which is where my mind goes whenever I see that screencap.

Ooh...a two in one, huh? Fluff and gutter? Hmmm. I may have to pull out the big guns (get your minds *out* of the gutter, people!)
The "Oh God, I thought you were dead. My heart stopped beating in my chest and I couldn't breathe when I saw you go down. I screamed for you...ran to you...bullets and staff blasts raining down all around me but nothing was going to keep me from you, even if I died getting to your side. And now that I'm standing here I don't know what to say or what to do because I can't tell you how I feel and I can't even get the simplest words out of my mouth. I can only look at you and hope you understand everything I can't say." angst

After which must come...
The "C'mere" angst.
And the
No words are necessary angst.
I love this scene! It's a beautiful moment. Sam is so relieved that Jack is alive and well because she thought that she was going to lose him. She can't hold back the tears and Jack hugs her to reassure her that he's fine and not going anywhere.
