I listened to the song real good and was like.....OMG....S/J!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even the music video has two lovers who are in the military!!!!!!! Its been a while since I've seen it though!!!!!

I've spent a bit of time reflecting on the Moonlighting Syndrome and I agree with Oma. The whole premise of ML was that David and Maddie hated each other's guts. That open hostility was what made the show entertaining. Who can forget "FINE!!!" "FINE!!!" each stomping off in opposite directions and slamming the office doors? It's classic.
SG-1, on the other hand was never about the relationship between any two characters, rather the dynamics of the personnel as a whole and their reactions to adversities of all types: personal, professional, global and universal. Their feelings for one another only enhanced and added depth to the situations.
My personal preference would be for some sort of killer, action-packed, tense story line with peripheral ship. There are countless fanfics that do an excellent job of balancing the two. It's not impossible, especially given the talent of the writers. Let's face it, if we didn't find the writers to be extremely talented we wouldn't have stuck around nearly this long. 9 years is a huge investment if we weren't hooked on the storyline.

Glad to hear I'm the only one that happens to do that now and again. Why thank you Darlin!!!! I looked all over but couldn't find one (except for the Jack/Teal'c one).
I heard that Garth and Trisha song the other day too and I loved it! Amazing vid, thanks Gwen! I so love the vids that have sound clips in them too, I think it adds so much to the vid.
