Re: the Beneath the Surface kiss. I cannot remember where I read this, but I am 99.999% certain that Joe Mallozzi (or a different PTB) wrote that the only reason that the kiss was cut was because there had already been a kiss only a few episodes back in Window of Opportunity and they didn't want it to look like they were pushing the S/J relationship extensively.

(This makes sense considering the Air Force told them under no circumstances could Jack and Sam have any kind of romantic relationship, and in addition, certain people (*cough* Michael Shanks *cough*) had already been commenting on how the show was going to become a soap opera between Sam and Jack.)
