I can't believe you took my favorite movie and gutterized it!!!! THE SHAME. (Can you guess why I love this movie, Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, and ANGST.)

I don't think I'll ever be able to be free of the gutter. I do remain FLUFF FREE however (except for the very occasional cotton candy, maybe once every couple of years). Oh, ANGST reminds me to go back to work on my current WIP... this chapter is taking place after Abyss. Very very angsty. I love my cavern. It's so nice and cozy.

I'm hanging around online today because a friend of mine is in LABOR. I'm so excited (they've been trying for like three years to get pregnant) - I cried with her when she was disappointed after a round of fertility treatments and I helped her chart her cycles so she knew when she was ovulating and now they're having a baby boy!!! So I'm stalking her on Facebook until she updates her status (she's updated a couple time since labor commenced)... so... I'll be close to my computer!

No way, those guys probably get paid a whole lot more than we think LOL. Sam alone makes close to 90K - not including combat pay (which is non-taxable), and the fact that she was GONE for a year (seriously, how much can you really spend in a galaxy that doesn't use your currency?). Jack as a Brigadier General makes close to 120K (if not more!).

I'm basing it off of this: Military Pay

I'm assuming the numbers in the chart are monthly amounts (although the military gets paid bi-monthly). Sam and Cam are O-5, Jack (as a Brigadier is 0-7). I'm not sure what Daniel and Teal'c are making...

Oh wait, update edit: Sam's a Colonel now, so she's making more than that

Plus when military people are overseas (Pegasus anyone?) the regular pay for that time is non-taxable.
