I know, by our POV, #1 happened, but by the true timeline, it didn't. And while some would say the Broca kiss was "under the influence," it was made pretty clear that the virus didn't make feelings where there were none. It just lowered inhibitions, in addition to making people more aggressive. So, truthfully, she was acting on her own feelings, even then, right? <g>
