Ugh! I've been working on my Secret Santa present all day. I'm a very slow writer normally, and for some reason this story is just giving me such problems. I'm beginning to question whether I can actually write at all.

Yes!! I struggled with mine and it ended up being a shorter piece (but it was right for the scene I was writing) so I created a banner/sig pic with it

What, Pol, your stories aren't just given to you in divinely inspired dreams???? Just kidding of course. Writing is so friggin' hard and for me, I never feel like it's all that good when I'm done.

I think my problem here is that I normally give myself more time so that I can step away and come back to it, which can make all the difference. But with everything else I've had on my plate I just couldn't get to it before now.

How horrible would it be if I finished this tomorrow and sent it in a day late? I really think it needs some time to breath.

I wanted to have mine done last night before I went to bed, but it was just stagnating, so I left it overnight. In the end, it turned out better that I finished it in the morning. Of course, because I had all morning to finish, it's a monster--over 6,000 words. I'm hoping it doesn't bore my Santa-ee to death.
