what gender do you think they'd want? There's always that question, "So, what would you rather have?"

I don't think either of them would care which gender they got, as long as the child was healthy. Although if they had a girl first, she'd have Jack wrapped around her tiny little finger within seconds(?), minutes(?) of birth.

Personally I tend to go for a girl first for Jack and Sam, probably because Charlie was a boy and it might be more difficult to deal with than a girl in the beginning.

In a SG-1/SGA AU crossover that I'm writing, Jack and Sam had a baby girl that I named Amanda Leigh. So many baby fic names seem like they get reused over and over and over, and then I thought about the actor's RL names. Amanda is a good sturdy name, and can be shortened to Mandy. Leigh? I have no idea where that came from.

In a SG-1/SGA AU crossover that I'm writing, Jack and Sam had a baby girl that I named Amanda Leigh. Just don't call Amanda Tapping that, she hates the nickname "Mandy"! I heard, or read a story (I'm not sure if it's true) that when Rick (Richard Dean Anderson) first met Amanda he jokingly asked her if he could call her Mandy, and she said, "Only if I can call you Dick!" I think RDA was vastly amused by her comeback, and I'm sure no one ever called her Mandy again!
