          Yes, I did just see "Solitudes". I don't have my blog review up for it yet but it was a pretty good episode.

              That's true. Plus, she might not have had any physical intimacy in awhile with Pete as the question of whether or not she was doing the right thing, based on her heart and how she felt, was still there. Also, if Sam and Jack went "fishing" when they went fishing...Jack's baby.

                  I kinda like that they didn't write in the pregnancy. And thank god they didn't make Sam pregnant *after* AT gave birth. Like the X-Files. That whole Scully pregnancy thing was whack.

                  But yes, it could've been possible. But they would have had to get a whole lot more shippy than they ever did to pull it off as Jack's baby

                      I know exactly what I said; I don't need to be reminded, thank you very much. And there was no time frame given for the whole Sam is on maternity leave in Season 9 scenario, so I stand by what I said. Nobody suggested that this scenario took place at the end of Season 9, when it would be more logical for Sam to be on maternity leave. It was reasonable to assume that since Sam was on maternity leave, that it would be while AT was absent from the show, which was at the beginning of Season 9.

                        He let the rake fall and opened his arms to receive her as she stepped in close and pressed herself into his chest. He hugged her and mumbled into the crown of her head, not quite sure what he was saying, just certain that she would understand.

                              No one here should feel unwelcome. Some of us were brought up in a world where we were taught, if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all. Others obviously weren't. This is a place for our love of S/J not for prejudice comments.


                              On topic:

                              I was talking to my mum today about Stargate, and I was talking about movie #3 and the possibility of confirmation, that will now not be happening and my mum (who is a shipper, even though she has no understanding of the word, or fandom in general) went "yeah others were always asking Sam how Jack was in the later episodes..."

                              I love how so ingrained their relationship is in her that she's convinced herself of this

                                You have trained your mother well, Kate! Well done! My mom is still getting into the show in general... I'm wary of even trying to broach the topic of shipping (though when we were watching CotG, she did ask if Sam and Jack ended up together... asked of her own volition out of the blue. Big thing, coming from my mom. I had to give her the awkward answer of "they never really confirm it, but YES"). But yeah usually she hates the idea of ships-- in her opinion, no good tv show should have ships. Hence her preference for crime dramas

                                In my experience, moms are very insightful. So if they notice a ship, that speaks LOADS to the epicness of it
