The one thing is that black dye can be a pain in the mikta to get out. But I think it's a great decision. I mean, she can do fight scenes and physical bits without worrying about the wig coming off in the middle of it all! I think Helen can potentially be just as physical as Ashley, and would love to see that.

It will be a little strange to see Amanda without her trademark blond hair!

i think i'm going through issues of soooo much change at once. we sam fans were gifted with another season of sam, and then having her totally IN CHARGE... we're losing it. but at the same time, we're still getting amanda and a great show and character in helen!

i'm torn.

i think at this time next year, this feeling i'm having right now will be a distant memory. i really, REALLY believe that 'sanctuary' will take off and be HUGE! amanda's star will only glow brighter and stronger.

as much as i LOOOOOOOOOOVE sam carter and sam being on atlantis!... i'd have done the same thing as amanda. there's really no guarantee that 'sanctuary' will take off, but this opportunity of being THE lead of a series, and also being one of the ptb... how could anyone turn that down, you know? this is just amanda leaving home to start another chapter of her life.

these last eps with sam leading atlantis, though... i'm sad, but also keeping in mind that sam's time *on* atlantis will only be smaller, not gone! *that's* what i'm keeping in mind, and will keep when s5 aires and i'm seeing sam's last moments on a full-time basis and her being commander. *tries to keep sad thoughts out of mind*

i kept expecting that sam and/or jack were going to be killed. and then... this fic was so totally focused on sam's thoughts and feelings, which is what i wished atlantis had some with sam's time. (that's why i was so hoping for sam in s5, because her slow introduction would have been over)
