amanda didn't appear on rick's con. i don't know why she didn't, but i was soooooooo looking forward to it.

i think i need to train myself to not hope for things anymore.

I'm back(ish)! The SA crew (yes Ma, after that comment at Bob's Burgers and Brew you *are* included) dropped me off and headed further south. Now 5 days with the brother, then back to home. Supposed to be 101 F the day I return. Swell.

Border was hideous. 2.5 hours! Great peeps to ride with though. God bless 'em.

I am glad they let me North though. Especially with Mandy doing the talking.

They did ask for Mandy's flight home itinerary when they saw that she was a Canadian entering the US nowhere near where she lives.

I learned that lesson years ago in regards to SG-1.

And never trust a drop-in hope at a con. Too many variables. As long as everyone is happy & healthy.

Hehe, I forgot to mention, today I think I made a stranger an Amanda fan.

I went to a money mart to send my donation to S4K for AT's b-day surprise, and I told the woman at the desk what it was for, and I told her about S4K and what they did last weekend, and she was astounded because she loves to donate to charities. I told her Amanda and about Sanctuary and said she thought it was really amazing for what they did for the kids and she may look up AT and learn more about S4K.

Guy's I've decided to leave my yahoo groups and Gate World for now. I haven't been well for a long time and who knows if/ when I make it back.

Knowing the way she is, she may have said "I'll come if you feel like you need me" but also didn't want to horn in. Plus, she just came off a con and is busy filming.

i read on the rick con thread, though, that amanda was supposedly going to handle the auction, but became sick and couldn't make it. stupid amanda. i mean, i hope she's alright!!
