i'm into my sg1 renewal full speed now, starting with s1. this is really a good show, all joking aside.

but i'm seeing something in these first eps that i didn't see in the later seasons... there's a depth... i don't know if i'm saying it correctly.

anyone dying should *never* get old (including daniel), but as the seasons went by, they didn't make enough of the deaths of their close friends. when they thought daniel died in 'fire and water', there was so much time spent on their feelings. now jump to season 8, when they thought daniel died (again, with replicarter), and look how 'yawn' they handled it. heck, look how cut up everyone was when they thought sam died in 'new order'! teal'c raised a brow for a moment, daniel grimaced for a moment, and jack played with the ship's lights. oh, the sorrow!

i'm bringing this up (my sg1 rewatch), b/c i think it's going to be *very* interesting to see the change and progression in sam's character through the years. some of it's how 'amanda's' changed playing sam, but it's also just a natural growth of a character. it'll be fun to see the progression! and i'll share it with you all.

i agree the early episodes were great i felt the first six seasons were the best then the show had some ups and downs mainly because of jacks reduced role and eventual exit. a rush of new characters was overwhelming aswell in season 9.

sheldon then brought out all the gift baskets he'd bought her, and it wasn't enough, so he gave her a hug and leonard declared it a saturnalia miracle

watched 'enigma' and the great 'solitudes' today. both had some nice sam scenes, but 'solitudes' was something *really* juicy for amanda to grab onto.

i liked narim, but omac was really a turd in a few ways.

some *lovely* sam and jack moments in 'solitudes', and the 'it's my side arm' remark had me .

on a side note... richard was a pretty good actor in the early days, back when he really put himself to acting jack o'neill.

Yes, this was a funny episode of Big Bang Theory... but what does it have to do with Amanda?

Do you think it would be funny if Carter showed up on that show as herself?? Wolowitz does stuff for NASA, so perhaps he stumbled on something he shouldn't have, and Carter come to crack down on them! That would be funny, they would all be in awe of her because she's the most attractive scientist they've ever met! I even think Sheldon would appreciate her brain

Sorry, no can do. In one episode, one of the Sheldon's friends said he writes Stargate fan fics, so... no Carter on BBT. But Amanda should be on.

I agree with, Kat, as long as the show is interesting, good stories, well written character, than it's all good, yo. Amanda has proven MULTIPLE times that she can play any role to a T, other than Sam and Helen, I thought she did great in Dancing Trees, even though she didn't have a major role, and I loved her in Breakdown. Oh, and Kung Fu, yeah, she was so classy in that.

OMG, Sky, I love your BBT idea, it would be awesome. I saw a clip on YT of Sheldon going super fanboy when he got a letter or something from Leonard Nimoy, I'd LOVE to see how he'd react meeting the queen of his genre.

dad cant get to work... i was at work for a little over an hour before dad messaged me and told me to come home... ppl were banked up on the main road to get out of my suburb and prolly back to brisbane... kidwizz cant get off his street... one of my coworkers had to go home as his unit flooded... another had to leave about the same time as me as the daycare centre said they were closing and she had to pick up the kids... at least two others cant get to work... AND ITS STILL RAINING!

you'll notice for katie and george and summer, while they acknowledged the characters they played and they wore either their real or a really good copy of their characters' costumes, it wasn't the characters that showed up, but the actors

Dad suggested she play a colonel when one of the guys messed up, so I countered with a visiting professor ... then he upped it to a visiting astrophysicist who specialised in deep-space telemetry and zero-point energy sources ... I pointed out we don't have those yet and he said 'of course not - YET'

Really? I've seen every episode of that show, I don't remember them mentioning Stargate at all. You'd think I'd remember that! Lots of Trek references, and how Sheldon doesn't like B5... but don't remember mention of someone writing Stargate fanfic. Would that be Wollowitz?

she could be at their work place, seems a co-worker won an online auction for a visit, sheldon can start to lecture her about the impossibility of a stargate and how it'd never work. she could get very annoyed, pull out a zat, zat him, much to leonard's astonishment...eh stutters/stammers, she says 'it's classified'...he goes 'if that' real, what else on the show was real? she does the ssh thing....and beams away

adn then leonard wakes up from his day dream and sheldon is still lecturing on about whatever...wormholes maybe
