Sam Carter/Amanda Tapping Discussion/Appreciation

Amanda was brilliant - gorgeous as ever - and she turned in an absolutely sensational performance. Everyone in the cast did. Starrgazer was exquisite. Every single monologue was inspirational. A better ensemble could not have been assembled. What an incredible weekend, I was so blessed to be part of it.

Thanks for the scoops everyone. I bet AT loved having the chance to do a stage performance.
Edit: having read even more reports I'm blown away yet again by how gracious AT is. One of the reasons we love her is b/c she doesn't let our admiration go to her head. Which only feeds our fan tendencies more. As Felger would say it's "just another aspect of your perfection." Seriously, it's great to hear that she doesn't think we're all weirdos. Well, maybe weird, but in a *good* way.

Anyway, this is such a great place to shake off the woes of the day. Speaking of which--enough of a break, back to work jckfan!

Reprise: A Salute to the Thread

Many fans have come and gone
And yet the SaGC thread goes on
It seems to have a life of its own
Through ups and downs, the posts have grown

No matter who or where we are
Some so near, some so far
Samanda is our happy place
To honor Sam/AT, full of grace

Other fans may think us mad
A Royal Court? An imaginary land?
Perhaps they don’t really understand
Why admiring Sam produced something so grand

Over 65,000 replies of fun and mirth
In discussing Sam Carter’s worth
It started as a single simple post
From MajorSal, our inquiring host

She touched a nerve and we resonated
To the fair heroine who had Stargated

Too cool Mini! Ordinarily, I'd really get you for arguing with the Queen, but you were right. Also, how cool is it that you actually got to spend time with Amanda? You didn't just watch the show and make sure she got a loud applause, but you spent enough time with her to be comfortable 'debating' her. That's awesome! Like I said after you came back from AT2, I'm a minigeek fan. As a matter a fact, I think minigeek is a great character.

i think it's super cool that min got to hang out with amanda too! . but i've got to ask; how did you wrangle that???

You're very sweet, but quite honestly I'm not deserving of the accolade. It was beautiful karma that blessed me with the opportunity to spend the weekend in the company of so many amazing and talented artists. I was like a little sponge there, soaking up as much of their energies as I could. Amanda was one of those artists, but each one of them was so beautiful and remarkable in their own right, it's impossible not to fangirl them all.

And, wow, she loves us. She really loves us. How cool!

Sam owning noobs with a G-36K! (that's the weapon that Mitchell and Reynolds occasionally use. Sam gets to use one now )

The only thing missing was a Sam/Adria!Ba'al scene. Because we all know how Sam and Ba'al have some sparkage and well now it would be Sam and Adria
