    Ditto about AT vs CB... I never watched Farscape, and discovered both actors (BB & CB) on "Gate". When I have nothing personally against them, they're not up to "replacing" two established characters that we've followed for 8 years no matter their level of presence!
    People saying that CB is "so much better than AT" or the same for BB vs RDA are stupid and seek confrontation, nothing more.

    I'll give Vala and Cameron Mitchell a chance to prove themselves as interesting characters, I'm trying to keep an open mind and enjoy "a NEW show", but I'm not sure I'll be as faithful as I was to the "old" SG-1.

    And just to remember WHO we'll be missing...

            ((((Mel)))) I'm with you all the way here and I'm definitely up for attending your wake, my only possible fly in the ointment is the time difference, I'm 6 hrs ahead of USA ET so it might be a prob if you hold it on a weekday, weekends would be better but if I can't attend I'll let you know and then at the very least you can eat some ice cream for me.

            As to where, I chat on aim regularly so that's good for me and as a few people have already said you can make 'invite only' chatrooms on it to stop it being crashed by none wake users, failing that I can hop over to the rda chatroom if you like it better there. Just give us the word and I'm sure as many of us will be there as we can

                I feel bitter and cheated (by TPTB on that one), and along with missing RDA, it just gives the new season a taste I'm not sure to enjoy in the long run... Count me in!

                            I haven't read all the articles concerning AT/CB or BB/RDA but I've read enough to be disgusted. On top of those comments are the snide references to Jack in the show itself. I remember the whole fiasco when Daniel/MS left the show. I don't remember any negativity on the series itself in regards to the Daniel character.
                            Spoiler:
                            In Avalon pts 1+2 we have Jack going off at the mouth in the hospital room-AGAIN OTT with intent to be funny. We have him NOT telling Mitchel that SG-1 is dismantled. This is information that character should have had. Jack is a straight shooter, not a jackass. The whole hiding the desk key bit and not telling the new Doctor she would be working with her father. I think there might have been a couple more idiotic slams, but I can't remember right now. All this crap does a huge disservice to the character and RDA as an actor. He's gone. Why the hell treat him like crap?
                            Daniel was always missed and spoken highly of. Shadowplay is a good example of that. Sorry I'm not awake enough to quote the line.

                            At any rate... If folks want to watch and love s9 I've got no problem with that. What I do take issue with is the continued dissing of a character and an actor I enjoy. It's really hard to look at things in a positive way when this garbage is all we see and hear. I would love to say more but I'm afraid our dear Feli would have to slap me so I'll clam up.

                            FTR: No I did not like Avalon pt 2 very much. There were some nice moments but the first part was better IMO and not because Jack was in it.

                            They are trying to rewrite the whole mythology of the Ancients and for my money it's way too late in the game for that kind of thing.
