He knows just how to use those fingers doesn't he?
He probably is very good at making bread too, wouldn't you think? Requires lithe fingers that are good at kneading, pinching, patting, and manipulating the dough.....

Okay, I haven't been able to get anybody to respond to this on my mailing list, so I'm going to try here. Forgive me, for while it includes Jack, it also includes Sam and Daniel. (No, no, no!! Not like that!)
Oh, and there's Upgrades spoilers, but I don't think I need space for that.
Anyway, it occurred to me while watcing Upgrades that the virus made the armbands stay on, and their bodies fighting off the virus made them fall off. That being said, does the fact that Jack kept his on the longest - he got his first, and it fell off last - mean that his immune system is weaker than Sam's and Daniel's, with Daniel's being the strongest? And if so, has anybody ever done a fic dealing with this concept - that O'Neill could have a weak immune system? Or has anybody even talked about it?

SG1 needs it's Fifth Man - Why should we settle for less? Bring back Jonas Quinn!
Jack O'Neill would die for any member of his team. But there's only one he'd live for: Samantha Carter.
Well..it's going to take some lubrication. Those poles tend to need some of it from time to time. Two hands will be required since they're so big. We'll need some ropes too. Did I forget anything?
Yeah Siler, you forgot that plastic or rubber thing that goes over the tent pole to keep the wet out if it starts raining. What is that called....a rain cover or something...added protection over the tent....

Still thinking on if you forgot anything...
Although I do think maybe more than two hands might be required if the pole is *that* big. Two sets of hands might be better than one to keep a good grip on the pole, especially if it's a really breezy day and you don't want it flopping around in the wind!
Hmmm... maybe that pic with the chains makes sense now...

Hmm...gonna have him come to my kitchen. *wipes items from table...they crash to the floor* He'll have to knead my dough for me. It's so hard...to knead that dough. It takes some mighty strong arms to keep pushing it.

Not necessarily. The immune system would only be a part of the whole thing. The quantity of virus released by the armband could have been different or the potency of it slightly different than that given to the other two. His body may not have perceived it as a threat until later... I don't know... maybe he was the most fit of the 3??? (It's 10:30 pm here... sorry if I'm not giving you the best of answers....)

I'm definitely not widely-read as far as FF's are concerned... have you posted the question on FanFic threads here?
Or has anybody even talked about it?
Not lately to the best of my knowledge here or in the S/J Shipper Thread.....

I agree that I think Jack was the most fit of the three...naturally . The arm band stayed on him the longest because he was able to handle it. He didn't wear out as quickly as the others. I think that's why he is the best at tent pole erecting too....

I think I need clarification, because this doesn't track to me. Janet and Anise said that having the virus in their systems let the armbands stay on. And when the body's system defeated the virus, essentially "curing" them, then the armbands fell off. So that means that the virus in Daniel's system was defeated first, then Sam's, and then Jack's.
It didn't seem to me like this virus, whatever it was, affecting their ability to function otherwise at all, so it's really not a matter of them being able to operate with it in their systems.
Does this make sense??

I thought you were hiding in my world... You know, it's not really safe to hide over there anyway. Some DJ thunkers are known to visit that place for the educational opportunities, I think...
Your Jack gets a day off?? You must have really done some damage to make him demand that!
This Jack is wondering what the heck you did to yours...
I figured being on the move would confuse the Daniel thunkers, but it didn't work... But they graciously allowed me the use of a Daniel clone since they evidently have boxes of spares over there... Not quite sure why they need so many spares, but then again, some of the sigs over there might explain it better than I could...
Mala, I have photographic evidence of the damage done to Meimei's poor Jack clone!
No wonder he needs a day off!
Hey, now!! It was just a, eh, game... There were no Jack clones injured in the filming of this scene... Besides, he enjoys the extra attention he gets when he looks whumped...
