Don't you just love the intense concentration he has as he inserts his fingers inside the wet clay to mold it....
Is he sitting in the control room? I just noticed the gadgets behind him and I've seen this a zillion times!

Okay, I haven't been able to get anybody to respond to this on my mailing list, so I'm going to try here. Forgive me, for while it includes Jack, it also includes Sam and Daniel. (No, no, no!! Not like that!)
Oh, and there's Upgrades spoilers, but I don't think I need space for that.
Anyway, it occurred to me while watcing Upgrades that the virus made the armbands stay on, and their bodies fighting off the virus made them fall off. That being said, does the fact that Jack kept his on the longest - he got his first, and it fell off last - mean that his immune system is weaker than Sam's and Daniel's, with Daniel's being the strongest? And if so, has anybody ever done a fic dealing with this concept - that O'Neill could have a weak immune system? Or has anybody even talked about it?Last edited by Buc252; 11 December 2004, 06:31 PM.- Mary
SG1 needs it's Fifth Man - Why should we settle for less? Bring back Jonas Quinn!
Jack O'Neill would die for any member of his team. But there's only one he'd live for: Samantha Carter.

Although I do think maybe more than two hands might be required if the pole is *that* big. Two sets of hands might be better than one to keep a good grip on the pole, especially if it's a really breezy day and you don't want it flopping around in the wind!
Hmmm... maybe that pic with the chains makes sense now...Convention Pix Shore Leave ('06 to '09), AT2, AT3, & AT4 ('06, '08, & '09), and Vancouver ('07)

Originally posted by ShimmeringStarNot necessarily. The immune system would only be a part of the whole thing. The quantity of virus released by the armband could have been different or the potency of it slightly different than that given to the other two. His body may not have perceived it as a threat until later... I don't know... maybe he was the most fit of the 3??? (It's 10:30 pm here... sorry if I'm not giving you the best of answers....)
I'm definitely not widely-read as far as FF's are concerned... have you posted the question on FanFic threads here?
Not lately to the best of my knowledge here or in the S/J Shipper Thread.....Desperate Thunker

It didn't seem to me like this virus, whatever it was, affecting their ability to function otherwise at all, so it's really not a matter of them being able to operate with it in their systems.
Does this make sense??- Mary

Your Jack gets a day off?? You must have really done some damage to make him demand that!
This Jack is wondering what the heck you did to yours...
