I am going back to the conversation over how long they have known each other. I actually tried to ask Ben this at the last con, but things kind of got side tracked...

OK, they know each other well enough to be on first name basis, in uniform, and comfortable around each other, but she did not know his call sign *ie Ethon*. So, they have known each other for a bit, but not for a LOOONG time. But that is just my speculation. Someone so needs to ask someone who knows the answer.

I do have an unofficial list of Sam/Cam fic that me and someone else have been adding to.....I'd be happy to provide the link (but probably via PM, I know there's a lot of SG writers who don't like having their fics archived (even though only in link format) without their permission), and if anyone sees fit to add more fic, you'd be welcome to I call it 'The Big Damn List of Sam/Cam Fic'.

Can I get a copy of that list, as well??? I don't care if it is porn, NC17, G, or anything in between, I just want good fanfic.

That makes sense actually. I forgot about her not knowing his call sign. Ah well. I still love the fics where they've known each other for years. I don't know why that appeals to me so much, but it does.

Maybe they've worked together before, somewhere away from the SGC, or met at a function or something. If one of their mutual friends/colleagues got promoted and had a ceremony for it, they might both have attended or something. I like to think they knew each other well enough to say hi if they randomly met in a hallway somewhere.

Well not knowing his callsign doesn't mean that they haven't known each other awhile. If she never flew with him she would not have known his call. They could have met before and been friends before, but never flown together before. At least thats how I rationalize it...lol I love the idea of them knowing each other for years before.

It also brings to mind how come Sam never knew about his father's accident, or the sortie Cam was involved in.

To the latter, my answer is that it's some very big things that Cam himself hasn't learnt to deal with (as I feel we're shown in this episode itself anyway), and so that's why he's never told Sam. You know, if I don't talk about it, and you don't know about it....how can it hurt me? I know, that's how I "dealt" with my depression for a while there. *nods* Not healthy, but if it stops you from thinking about things.........

Regarding the callsign thing, does anyone remember the exact dialogue? Or the way it was delivered by Ben and Amanda? *frowns in thought* I'm trying to remember how I rationalized that in my own mind. A continuance muck up by the writers? They've had so many....I'm sure that played on my 'why that doesn't fit for the obvious history we've been privy to' thinking.

Speaking of Cam's dad - did they have two different actors play him?

I just have in my mind one scene with Cam walking with his dad and his dad is using a cane, or maybe even a walker, and then a different guy in Bounty. I'm a little confused. How did they explain that? Because I don't remember the guy in Bounty using a cane - am I just not remembering? Sorry for the dumb question - I went through S9-10 pretty fast so some of it is fuzzy.
