Yes people buy and use flannel sheets. I even found a set for our waterbed (very hard to find). So, not only is the bed heated, we use flannel sheets in the winter and I but several blankets on top. I hate getting out of bed in the morning because it's so cold (and we keep the heat at 72F).

Well, you are most welcome to send a little of that cold weather to Florida anytime you like! (I'm sure no one would envy us our annual 90 degree heatwave from May through September.)

As for your question about flannel: lots of flannel where I live. Lots of fleece too, though. Probably more.

You're just getting all the rain that normally comes here. The Puget Sound (and most of the Pacific NW) has been very sunny this winter. Highly unnatural. They are talking drought here.

Agreed - we've had some lovely sunny days here in Oregon too - which is also very unusual. I know we need the rain, but the sunshine is much more enjoyable!
