Watching "Arctic Blast" tonight. What can I say... Michael is the only reason to watch it...

It's pretty much standard - the brave scientist, who tries to save the world, his family, himself while dealing with every day problems such as a wife who wants to divorce and a pubescent daughter who doesn't listen because parents are sooo obnoxious; the ignorant boss and other ignorant superiors who always try to defame him and undermine his work whenever they can, but have to give in and admit he's right at last...

While the main scenario may be plausible (I don't know about it, I'm no meteorologist), some things are downright annoying (For example: How did the ship get out of the ice again? It should have been stuck there... , then the Ryan Beachhead scene and the airport scene - you don't flee in your car, an icy fog (temperatures about -70 °C) coming up behind you, already reaching the tailgate and leave your car windows open. Nor would any plane be allowed to touch down at an airport in such weather conditions, even more so if the pilots contacted the tower and no one replied - I think any intelligent pilot would have tried to get away and reach another airport).

The effects are so-so... I've seen better.

On the plus side: The "Sumuru" movie was much, MUCH, MUCH worse...

Anyway, I try to keep watching, just because of Michael. His acting is fine, but I don't think he can save the movie.

No, I disagree, Sumuru was a good b movie, and the acting was good too, almost from everyone. I think the worst movie was Swarm, really really bad.
