I have a question, is there a reason (Other than getting your post count up) for posting photos only 1 or 2 at a time instead of up to 10 as I've been known to do? Just wondering if I'm missing something...

Many of the Hussies stuck to this to help out those that were on slower internet connections (some even still on dial up..)...I guess that it was just something that some of us felt more comfortable with....I know I like to see varied pictures from different seasons of Stargate and the variety of other characters that Michael has played and that's what I try to do with my posts....I have to admit I tend to skip past really long picspams sometimes when I'm in a hurry, whereas I might stop more if I see photos that are more "mixed up".......YMMV of course....and there's no hard and fast rule afaik.......as long as it's within GW posting guidelines I'd say do what makes you feel comfortable...

I quit worrying about post count along time ago since about 90% of my posts are in off-topic. But I mostly do it not to have a really long post and also so I don't lose the pictures I've selected if my connection of the website screws up and I have to repost. It's just quick and easy to post 2 or 3 pics and then look for some more.

There are still a few souls stuck with dial up, any more than two or so pics and the pages won't load for them. Plus you get really long posts if you put tons of pics in and there might be some other stuff that I can't remember off the top of my head.

I've been here 6 years now and still haven't made 9,000 posts - and I hardly ever post in Off Topic...most of my posts are on here, but I still think the old saying "quality over quantity" holds good....

Yep scrolling down large posts on forums, lj or elsewhere can be a right pain in the mikita can't it?...I do remember many years back the mods used to pop in now and again and ask us not to do pages and pages of continuous picspam...sometimes we used to do countdowns to special post numbers (like when you reached a round thousand) and when one of the very talented Senior Hussies like Seshat and Wirthless used to contribute some fabulous original artwork we'd let them do an uninterrupted "run"...it was great fun waiting to see what bit of magic came up next.....*sighs*...I miss those days very much sometimes....

Yeah...Michael's first, and so far only, papparazzi photo....apparently Lexa was thrilled he'd been "papped"...him not so....*snerk*...


That's what's great about Vancouver.....actors can walk around more or less anywhere and not get bothered by fans....it's a great city to "blend in"....4 weeks' tomorrow I shall be there....but sadly no Michael at VanCon this year...*pouts*...

But we still have some past ones to enjoy....2008 was my fav. year...I got some great pics from Row A...

I agree with deeds on this one....a long time ago I was told it was better to to do no more than 2 pics per post to make it easier for those with dial up, and that has stuck every since for me. I do try to 'vary' the pics....like today all had 'guns' but were from a different season and/or eppy. Some days you just feel like tongue, or gun pics....

As for post count....once I hit 2,000 [just to get the avatar] I never paid attention. There are some that post to get their counts up but most of my posts have been with friends chatting about SGA or SG1 and the various aspects of the show to include thunks
