I was watching "Metto whatever its called mori" toady and wondered this....

How Old is Vala? As she was a host to a Goa'uld there4 should could potentially have been 100s of years old! But then her Father would have to have been aswell lol.
So She must have only been a host for a short period. MAYBE Atesh bumped her old host after seeing Vala and liked her.... Figure
Maybe thats why the Tokra decided they could help. Still I wonder how long she was Host? and what her homeowrld was like? They must have been rather adavanced as both her and her father are galaxy wise and have advanced equitment and understandings.

Shame its a backstory we may never get to know. Who she became host! Unless they make Vala the direct to DVD movie?

VALA: Ten years ago, a Tok’Ra incited a rebellion on my planet.
... I was host to that Goa’uld at the time.

1) Vala looks like she's in her early 30s.
2) She was 11-12 years younger when the symbiote was taken out.
3) If her father is more or less human and ages like everyone else he seems to be in his early 60s.
4) He seems to think she looks the age she should be. I'm sure otherwise TPTB would have used the chance to make a joke out of it.
5) The sarcophagus makes you younger/keeps your age. The consequence is that after longtime use you age rapidly without it. That's not the case with Vala.
6) I'd say Vala and her dad haven't seen one another for somewhere between 15 - 20 years.

So I'd say she's been a host for 5-7 years.

Your guess is as good as mine, though.
