    I'm fine with it.

Normally, we'd be getting on by now, but this is the restarting of one of gw biggest community projects. it might take some time to get things properly sorted out.

I’m with that also but I assume that the F304 is not going to be the only ship in production or development.

I'm still thinking: anything post-unending, didn't happen (so anything with the asgard beams). Asgard survive and disclosure causes a mass war on Earth.

not a war on Earth. The different policies and factions is part of the fun. Don't unite Earth yet.

Ok a mass argument that causes people to leave.

I'll go along with that, though I believe that in the 2012 and 2015 period, new generations of ship implemation should be started.

Well I think, give it time for the dust to settle, so pick up the story at 2025. We can do a back story for between 2010 and 2025.

You know, I've heard people say this right-and-left . . . but not once does the show make any remark on the matter (that I can recall).

As for your recap . . . I'm sorry for being a stick-in-the-mud, but I can't help but cringe at all the canon cutting. It's too complicated, and -- in my opinion -- it's somewhat disrespectful to the people who created the universe we're working with. Whether we happen to agree with them or not, these are their characters, not ours.

I posted my own ideas for a time-line a few pages back. If you want to vote between them or something, I'll re-collect them for everybody.

I agree with that^^^ And why do we have to start 2025??? I think 2015 is a better date. Tell the story from a start point that gives information clearly and with a few time jumps then go to 2025. But seriously 10 years is a lot of untold stuff to do. And for a 2025 date, all your tech is out the window, the BC304's wil be relegated to transports by then.

Don't be stupid, the BC304 will be used in one way or another for a long time. 2025 gives colonies time to develop and build ships. It also gives time for post-disclosure Earth to settle down as well.

No need for that. I'm speaking from a reality viewpoint, 10 years in the Air Force has taught me a lot about redundancy. My point is if we start at 2025 the 304 technology will be superseded. I didn't say they'd be gone, just utilised for another role, with better ships taking their place. After all, we're going to introduce newer ships aren't we? Why have overlapping roles?

the reson the F304 will still be in use is the versatilaty of the ship an if you had looked at the cost of one of the ships is not like a toy you cn not just throw it way unless you think that 60 billion can just be wasted they will be in use most definetly

I could say something as equally rude but I wont. Suffice to say, I wouldn't argue with an Air Force fighter Pilot.

Well there isn't anything wrong with the design of the 304. Obviously, there are new weapons that have been alluded too in the list I did (new railguns etc, but first gen beam and pulse weapons). But some weapons won't change like the nukes. I don't expect us to be building ancient shields or oneill class shields by 2025. So we'll have the current asgard shields plus hatak and advanced hatak shields. The only thing is, you can add more power to the shields, but once you reach their peak efficiency, the increase in shield strength drops off quickly.

There are a lot here who'll argue that point. Granted, shield tech will improve, but the 304 specs are what bothers me. A 200 odd meter ship, and only carries 16 F302's? (And I agree with a earlier post, the 302 tag is so wrong) and a crew of what 60 something. Makes no sense at all. And yes I've read the posts and arguements that allude to how much space the hyperdrive takes up. That's what makes the 304 in need of a serious make over and a decent replacement. Oh and don't get me started on the "One way" hanger bays. I would not like to use a CVN deck that only had one in and out
