Anyway, i think my weapons are getting a bit over the top... what do you think?

What is the role of the vessel?
Depending on the role will determine if it is over-gunned...remember nobody likes fanwank! lol

Maybe reduce the number of railguns.

It's a Battleship about the size of a deadalus, those are all Plasma pluse guns

ok....define it more I can read that they are energy based weapons, but what do they compare to? Are they stronger than railguns, are they stronger than the Asgard beam weapons?

how are they powered?

They are Asgard/goa'uld/ancient based, tau'ri built, plasma pulse weapons. They are powered by small, individual naquadah generators and output about the same as a wraith hive cannon per bolt. thats the general idea. i haven't put to much thought in to it, so if it seems overpowered or unlikley, please tell me

I don't think so. if the were comparable to Superhive weapondry, they would be overpowered. a post-unending 304 can take hive fire for minutes without shields failing, and a hive's got more guns than this. It would be resonable to say our tech is at least as power-efficient. and we are more advanced in other areas as well. we have better power sources, at least compared to ship size. i think it's quite resonable. hive guns aren't that nasty.

So I am working on a ship for the New Lucian Alliance and I can't decide wtype of engines I should give it.
these onse look similar to those of Prometheus

For the lucian alliance remember that the only tech they have is goauld, so the alkesh is the only option.

even if the tech is the same, appearance can still be modified. but the al'kesh style seems to fit it better
