Before the present position I would have balked at spending that much but I'm going to need it. The program looks fantastic.

Well I've downloaded Blender...It's difficult.
The tutorials are difficult because the versions keep changing which was the same problem I had with Gimp. I just had to ...intuit it...through most of the operations.

I may be buying Lightwave at the end of the Year...
I'm really inthused on the visuals. I could continue working on Auto Cad or Just go with Blender.

I'm going to do both. It should make me more versatile. Blender now, and Lightwave in NOV. ...because that guys designs look that good.

I'm very new to Stargate Design. I'm feeling around in the Dark right now. Right now if this was Trek I could drop a design (rudimentary) in a couple of hours on CAD.

Stargate is a different animal. It's rougher more confining...military. My current project is an unnamed Battleship.

Names I'm considering.

Lachesis Class Battleship (I like that one
Galatea Class
Hades Class

The ship will have three main sections. 1. Flanking Gun Platforms in the front. 2. Limited Forward Lauching Missles in the mid section and 3. Drive Section.

I intend to make it's firing Arcs absolutely lethal.

The Second Project is an Atlantean Star Castle

The Design style he chose brings out the abilities of the program he's using.
It's not the Design it'self that trills me it's the stle and visual it's self. It's hard to explain. Auto Cad has only three visual styles... Realistic, Conceptual and Hidden.

I want something that can really show off the design AND make designing in 3D easy or at least straigh forward.
