Kinda funny actually, I've been meaning to remake the Olympia myself sometime. Just never seem to get round to it

Sketchup + Vista + Good PC = Win!

I know alot of people don't like Vista, but since I've been using it I've found it much better than XP. And have no compatibility issues when installing really old software. Even ones made to run on Windows 98. 0_o. (I'm a massive CnC fan, so obvioulsy I have to install all the games. )

If you remove the lines and use 'file > export > 2d image' it looks better when your showing off your work.

Or you could try Kerkythea. Worked really fine for me.

Ive been experimenting with Kerkythea actually, might start using it fully, its easier than bryce by along way.

My advice to anyone considering Kerkythea... Download Blender instead, and use that to render. It's quicker and you get better results.

Takes slightly longer to figure out all the controls, but it's much easier and more useful in the long run.

You export to .xml I think, and then it takes forever to render even the most simple objects.

Stick with Podium or try Blender. It's a modelling program as well, but it's still free. It's easier to use it in conjunction with sketchup pro, but if you don't have it there's always 'work-arounds.' .

This is rendered in Blender. It's the latest update to my vanguard. Added place-holders for the beam-cannons and sloped the front bit down to give it more of a Prometheus feel.
