a little update:
I've got the last chapter done, its to the Beta now, it isnt a long one.
I wont upload it until I've got the first chapter of the next story ready, which wont take long either. problem is that I dont have a name jet. and no I wont let you make one up because then I'll need to give you people a surmise of what's going to happen in the entire story and I want to keep it a surprise for you people.

i've finished both chapters and they are now with the Beta, i think im going to call teh new story: 'under siege'. I'll try to upload the chapter as soon as they get back but I cant promise anything 'cos my internet connection is very bad, so is my phone line and i have to wait till friday to get someone to fix it. I was out of internet the entire weekend which kind a pissed me off.

I was just in contact with my beta and the last chapter will be up tonight and so will the first chapter of the next story. im not sure if im going to continue that story in this thread or create a new one, what do you guys think?

Boeli, thanks for the thread. Just read it, (the first part, moving on to the next). Love it! Oh the reason I quoted Jack, was because I have been musing over a story line..what if? The Colonial fleet is headed toward Earth on schedule as in Season 4 (I've only got the first half of that on DVD, here in OZ, they've split the final season into 2 parts), anyway, my story would have gone something like this...Galatica and fleet, with accompaning Cylons, enter the Milky Way Galaxy, just after the Ori have seemingly been defeated. But unknown to the SGC, the Ark wasn't totally successful. Some Ori held planets were shielded by the aura of a blue sun, so the Ark did not work there and there were no Stargates on those planets. The Galatica fleet emerge near those Ori held planets and half of the fleet are swayed by the Ori message, including the Cylons. Galatica and a small few ships escape, knowing it is a lure into a false belief and flee, only to be met by an SGC fleet as Adama is within sight of Earth.
Imagination can run amok Boeli, anyway that's my thread so far, but at the moment I'm still working on the "Captives". MMmmm, maybe I can thread that part into it, what do you think?
Going back to reading your story now. I live both shows, and your FanFic, hepls to keep it alive for me, keep it up.

i just read your story a few hours ago, it has great potential and what you just described soulds like a good idea, altough I like the rebel Cylons ( might have been a little bit to obvious in BSG 16), maybe you could use them as some sort of moral compas for Adama and Roslin to point them away from origin. just my thoughts about that part.
EDIT: when i read your story i got an Idea for sort of a medical/ relief effort ship, called the Janet Frasier Class. you had some kind of ship named after her. but for now i dont have a way to use it, yet

well the original story (BSG16) was just meant to end after 7 or 8 chapters, depending on how much I could add. this story is just a in-between, it raises some questions which will leed to the fourth(last) story, that story will not have an ending and I will more or less make it like s09's continuing stargate, more or less. the third story will (time wise) start immediately after Under siege, I'm not going to tell much about it but I will tell you that it will involve one ship cut off from Earth and with an damaged ship. I am already looking forward to writing it.

ps, the next chapter is already with the Beta, I have no clue when he's going to be finished and on top of that the third chapter is about three quarters done. the third chapter will feature some BSG

I'm still catching up, read part 3, fantastic stuff boeli. Oh and the Janet Fraiser, you'll have no problems using her and her class, they are actually Cruisers. Her named is used as first of class, because I called them "Heroine Class, CG or CE 340's". There are also drones you can use very effectively.

Data: CE/CG-340, Heroine class: A new class of warship, that will be built primarily by Earth’s allies. Close to the original Prometheus in size, it will be essentially a gun and missile ship. Much in the way a guided missile destroyer is in a modern Navy. The new ship will not usually carry F307's as it is envisioned the vessel will be capable of defending itself and a carrier from multiple fighter attacks. The class will however carry ten ‘B’ Attack Tornado’s. A crew of around sixty, plus aircrews, will compliment this ship, it will be extremely fast in both sub and hyperspace, with the ability to sustain long operations away from home. Earth is building around twenty to thirty of these vessels for fleet defence, with four held for Earth’s protection, two will be permanently attached to the Atlantis expedition. The F340 may carry an additional sixty infantry forces for selected missions, leaving four Tornado’s behind. (Lead ship, the Janet Fraser 30, has just been commissioned as this report is being written, 31-37 will be in service over the next twelve months . Ship number eight, the CG-Iwo Jima- ‘38' will be an exceptional vessel. It is to be the first of ten purely attack ships, with more gunnery and only carrying eight F307c’s. Data: Decoy drones. Carries parent ships signature. When launched, can be programmed to a predetermined flight path, has limited defensive abilities, that effectively gives the enemy the impression they are homing in on their quarry, whilst the parent ship can make a hasty withdrawal. The decoys will explode with tremendous force if attacked, in most cases inflicting heavy damage on the attacker. The drones can also be configured as a planetary satlellite and whilst cloaked, stay on station for long a duration, monitoring enemy movements. It’s on board power cell will allow it to remain active for up to ten years.

what i had in mind for the Frasier Class isnt like your design. it is supposed to be a hospital ship and also carry supplies in case a planet needs medical aid or something. obviously it is to early to introduce a type of ship right now as there is only one active class ships in the Taur'ri fleet. so it will probably wait till the last story in which it will be part of larger fleets in a supportive way. those ships will be named after important medical dotors like Frasier. the Dutch navy has one ship that it is like its called the Pelikaan, it is in the Caribian but its task is to give humanitarian aid in case of an emergency. the plans for my ship are still a bit fague but when the time comes i'll try to incorporate it into the story.
those drones of yours do sound very useful. going to reed your next chapter now
