Story Summary: Malek meets Gwennetha, a Furling Warrior, and he and Devlin are very attracted to her. However, she is the granddaughter of Artereos of Cadwaellon, the leader of the Furlings and a formidable Warrior. They wonder if it is wise to become involved with her. This is the story of their romance and it takes place during the last part of Blood of My Heart. It starts when Malek goes to Avilion to support Lantash and Martouf through the Sevesh Lok Twin, so many of the events are the same, but they are seen from Malek's viewpoint. It also leads up to the beginning of the next Book, Daughters of the Queen. It is not necessary to read Malek's Story to understand Daughters of the Queen as Blood of My Heart also leads into it. However, there are things in Malek's story that were not in Blood of My Heart.
