Ya know, I've done the potty training thing 6 times. With the exception of no 4 child who pretty much did it all by herself, that's the bit I hate most about having kids.

I went completely bonkers for them about this time last year. Open Your Eyes is an amazing track. Lights off, headphones on and listen to all those layers.

Wouldn't you know, just when I've made a decision about where I want to go with my life & career, a practice I love in Boston comes a'calling? Now that I've gotten over the initial WTF, I think I'll be okay calling back and politely declining. I've made a choice and I really want to see it through. Plus I am so sure that I don't want to be on the east coast any more, that Boston just doesn't make me squee the way it used to. Too big.

Ah see I like that version. We're working on that at the moment. The hardest part is reigning Charles in since I have way more patience than he does (which is a bit of a turnaround because he's normally the level headed one). He doesn't get the psychology behind it. I've been making little itty bits of progress. Slow going but I keep reminding myself that any steps no matter how small are steps int he right direction.

And I'm getting quite good at wiping up pee now.

I've just spent a delightful hour or so finishing of transcribing the Divide & Conquer commentary. Someone on the Ship thread asked if I'd done it; I did ages ago, along with a bunch of others, but didn't save it for some unfathomable reason.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to sit here listening to that boring old Martin Wood bloke droning on and on and on about how he sets up those shots and what motivates him to film in x y or z way? gah! Honestly, none of you would want to be me right now...


... it's a hard job but someone's gotta do it.




Oh but (slightly) more seriously, what a gem of a commentary that one is! Really, I think it's possibly one of my top five (SG-1), just because it has the perfect balance of technical, goofing about and talking about what's actually happening plot wise.
