Mention was made during Valenship about how to make animated gifs. I've made some using the ancient old Microsoft gif maker and an online generator site but they don't work too good.

So I'm making an "official" request for our beloved and amazingly talented graphic artists to offer tutorials or links or whatever to us, the graphically-challenged-yet-ever-so-hopeful-wannabees.

Help?!? I got a new laptop with my tax money (first new computer I've had in 7 years), and when I tried to download Gimp, my antivirus said it was potentially harmful. I think it was just meaning the download manager, but now I'm wondering how I'm going to get it on this new computer. With having this new one, I really want to spread my wings a bit, and give graphics a shot. Any suggestions?

ETA: Never mind...that's what I get for not paying attention to which link I'm going to. Onward and upward!
