Came home from work and managed to get an hours sleep before getting up and groggily making my way to the coffee pot. I still have to finish packing, or rather, settle on exactly what I want to bring as I've packed and unpacked three times so far. I'm more worried about the weight issues at the airport than anything. I'll get it straightened out I'm sure though...eventually.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks time!

Haha, I went to the postoffice to pick up Chelles chocolate package for AT4. It was a huuuuge box, completely filled with chocolate. On top a note to me: blablabla ... I hope I bought enough. ROFL ... I'm pretty sure it's enough, for everyone at the convention! So, I feel no guilt sampling the caramelkoala's .. they're yummie!

Glad you like...how are the Tim Tams? I wish I could get a packet to Amanda as I know she loves them!

ROTFL, for AT3, Chelle sent the chocolate penguins to Massachusetts and then I brought them over on a transAtlantic flight! Chelle is VERY generous

Okay people.

Tracy is right in that bringing too much chocolate is going to create a problem, but that is difficult to control because one person's idea of too much isn't another's. I also don't think people should feel that they have to either eat (and therefore be sick after) or take home (filling their luggage) the remainder of what is left.

However, here is what is a best plan scenario should too much turn up (which reading the posts seems to be a likely scenario).

Those wishing to attend the chocolate get together MUST and I mean MUST contact Neep on Gateworld and express their intention to come. If there are those of you on this forum who are not on Gateworld and don't want to go over there, then send a pm to Liesl Bland who is our staff member on here and she will contact Neep.

This is simply because I have arranged with the hotel to have two alcoves in the bar for the chocolate party. These are substantial but limited in their size and I have bought table cloths to avoid any mess for the tables in there. The idea is that Neep will supervise and coordinate it and let us know how many are coming. I had estimated about 20-30 total.

I do NOT want it announced to the general AT4 attendees because it will get out of hand and having maybe over 100 or more curious people descend on that bar area at that specific time at once is unfair on those of you who had planned this from the get go.

I suggest that any left over chocolate (and the chocolate party is scheduled for 3.00 to 4.00 on the Saturday) is put on one side and then a decision can be made about what is done with it. Having a large replenishable bowl at the entrance to the autograph sessions on Day 2 might be an idea so that all the attendees do eventually benefit if they so choose (but remember no nuts if you don't know about people's allergies!!!). I am going to ask Liesl to join Neep in keeping an eye on the proceedings.

This shouldn't turn into something which is a problem, and if kept under control it won't be, it should be a pleasurable experience for those who are taking part and an enhancement to the proceedings.

I stayed out as much mischief as one who hasnt slept more than a few 15-20 min catnaps since I came home from work yesterday morning.
Titi dutifully went off to work and I wandered around Sheffield for fourish hours. By that time I had seriously run out of steam and made my way back to her place. Was a lovely walk and the weather was very nice too considering I was expecting neverending rain up here in Yorkshire this time of year. Let's hope the fair weather lasts as we have LOTS planned for this weekend.
