The ! aliens are obviously Hebridan cross breeding gone wrong. Their guns both produce green blasts and look similar. I desperately hope this has nothing to do with Micheal, I hate that storyline.

I wonder what's with the red thingie on their heads.
Nice touch with it going off when they're dead, though.

I actually loved this episode. It showed some originality on the writers part, even though they might have been influenced by Even Horizon.
Maybe the new race JM talked about introducing in episode 10 or so, might be the same guys we saw in this episode. You have to wonder where these aliens came from. Did they came from another galaxy or do they live within the Pegasus galaxy?
It was nice to see the team working as a team. Broken Ties wasn't that bad, the Seed was terrible and the season opener wasn't that great either comparing to other season openers like The Siege part III, No Mans Land, Adrift. Seeing this episode, does me give me hope that this season might be good.

1: I LOVED the alien ship
2: I ADORED the alien Fighters
3: I was blown away with teyla. so, sheppard got chair construction 101[travellers], deadalus 101, ronon can play computer games[though has no patience ), teyla got deadalus 101 aswell. and mckay was the "ill fix it again" role. and that was lovely. i love every time he admits he forgot to think of it earlier, or didnt come up with it straight away. showing the human behind him . smart ronon. firing his gun to alert the others. loved the last alien hitting mckay. and i love their guns. and grenades. can we see them again. please??????

cant say enough good things about it. kudos to mark savela for the lovely deadalus closeups, and new angles, and the fighter scene[and fight scene]. outstanding! really one of these lovely episodes. defo the best so far.

My fave episode so far this season and better than all the season 4 epies put together IMHO.

the scene where the fighters come in and dog fight was really cool and for me unexpected.

I also loved that the team were working together to achieve there goal, there has not been enough of that of late.

I was a little bit worried they would have Teyla suddenly become as smart as Zelenka and Rodney but hey, didnt thank God.

I am becoming a bit bored with referencing back to Teylas baby in each episode, i hope that slacks of a bit. im sorry i find the baby thing boring

All in all i think it was well done esp the cgi the jumper approaching the landing bay in the dark was made of win.

off to watch again to give a better more detailed review

This was a good ep......Finally some good lod fashion team ep...I missed those...Anywho great to see Teyla so efficient in using the computers...We're finally getting more dimensions to Teyla..Not before time....Plus finally getting Rodney/Teyla interaction which has been scarce to non existent..Loved the scene when Rodney was at the crystals and Teyla came in to see if she could help and he's like probably not then they start shorting out and Teyla goes over to the computer to switch them off or whatever it was she done and he looks at her like.....How did you know what to do and she gives him this sly look.... that certainly put one egocentric scientist in him place...

I've only got one grumble though.....Does Rodney always have to shout all the time when he's talking.....My poor easr are sore with all the shouting......I get enough of folks shouting outside where i live without hearing it on here all the time

Oh and Ronon banging the controls because he couldn't shoot anything...That is so Ronon

Don't care for the bad guys - it;s a pretty silly way of introducing a new race, TBH. Just using them as target practice... I'm hoping they would actually get dsome depth other than "we're bad guys, lookm at us" if we ever see them again.

Other than that, thought it was quite a good episode - a good adaptation of the idea of Heinlein's Number of hte Beast to Atlantis setting. Yay.

Yeah well you know i'm a huge Teyla fan but i don't wanna see bambino in every ep either.....I just want baby gone now....

How was Rodney on your whine'o'meter? i thought it was pretty low this ep. i was expecting more after hed been shot but apart from the "ive been shot" he got straight back to shutting those doors etc.

i can take the shouting as long as hes giving me arm porn !

Talk about a team episode. Everyone basically pitched into this episode and not just one person saved the day. I wonder if we will see these enemies again. They seemed to be a major player in that reality. Perhaps this is the enemy that surfaces because of the Wraith being in turmoil? In the reality they were in according to alternate Sheppard, the Daedalus was lost in a battle with the replicators. Maybe this reality is just a pro-long of the events to happen? Reminds me of "There but for the grace of the gods". I would not mind if they follow the same route with this for Atlantis, but it would different in a way because with SG-1 the events were happening in both realities while in Atlantis they have not happened just yet.
