Originally posted by Offworlder View PostI have a theory. In another thread, a theory was posted thatSpoiler:Col. Ellis would be killed by Todd. Based on this, and the fact that Carter will have new command (I think you know where I'm going with this), instead of the Phoenix being built, Carter gets command of the Apollo.

Originally posted by Detox View PostIn terms of story-wise, yes, it could be very plausible. But production wise, I doubt they'd kill off Ellis. Unlike the other ship commanders they've killed off, Michael Beach is a more, prominent I suppose, actor. He has a decent resume and has had a starring role a successful NBC primetime show. He just doesn't seem like an actor TPTB would want to get rid of.

It makes me feel better knowing Sam isn’t sulking after being relieved of command in Atlantis.”
Answer: One of the things we wanted to make sure of was that Carter’s being relieved of the Atlantis command isn’t seen as a demotion because, as our team pointed out in The Seed, she was actually a victim of her own success. As such, the next time we see Carter (in episode 20), she’ll have assumed another command position.

Don't quote me on this, I don't know how reliable the info was, but I heard that Mitchell's getting command of the Phoenix. Personally, I think that Sam's been away from Earth too long, I don't see her wanting to leave again. But thatt's just MHO.sigpic
