I like 'Unending' and to be fair they didn't know about the cancellation until late into filming season 10.

Things will be a lot different with 'Enemy at the Gate' and I expect it was written to be an awesome season finale as well as a possible series finale if S6 didn't come around.

I see AoT as more the finale of the Ori arc (which it was) but it would have made a better series finale as well.
