Season Five : Compliments and Praise Thread

Question is: will we be seeing the Ori galaxy at a certain point?

Or did they already have stargates?

I'd kinda have liked to see the expedition make sure they knew the surrounding galaxies of the Milky Way, explore those first, because it would make sense to know them, as the newest 'enemies' might come from them, and then go to eg. Pegasus, and start to explore the ones surrounding that one... Etc.

So the idea of going on a ship gawd knows where... Meh.

I like the idea behind the ninth chevron, the Destiny itself and the premise that the show will explore the outer universe, older parts of space and whatnot but the characters don't sound too interesting and I'm more than happy with SGA right now, it sucks that it was cancelled. But when SGU is ready to air I will be giving it a fair chance before deciding one way or the other about the series (that'll be half a season to the whole first season to win me over).

Agreed. I will admit some of the characters sound a bit meh but I felt like this before SGA aired and I was ready to hate it but loved it so there is hope.

There is no love triangle, and there might not have been one... We don't know for certain.

I kinda agree. I got the feeling from the last scene in Tracker and later in FC when Ronon accompanies her that he simply has a crush on Keller whereas Rodney believes he loves her.

I agree with Peg (I feel nauseous). As much as I will always be a Gate fan, shipping is one thing Stargate does not do well. It always seems to take away from the episode plots

you know shipping doesn't bother me if it's subtle or makes sense. S/J was ok imo, D/V was different and the whole love triangle is very obvious

There's only 'Missing' that I can think of and they were supposed to had developed a friendship there (can't remember whether it was one of the Actress' who said that or TPTB).

Chances are Carson will have a better role in 'Outsiders' compared to 'Whispers'.

I just finished Tabula Rasa, and it's an episode where EVERYTHING is well balanced, imo.

A bit of everything, and Teyla's share was very nice in it.

My monitor is now covered in liquid when Jumper_One said J/S was subtle. I have never laughed that much in my life.

well doh it wasn't always subtle like in during s4, a little in s7 and obviously in the back half of s8 and the occasional kiss etc. but that was it imo. now let's compare that to D/V and the love triangle

I heard. And will see in oooh about 30 seconds. Thing is I don't like shippyness in SGA. I liked it in SG1 was an SJ shipper for a long time, but it was subtle, and with shippyness I do prefer subtlety, this for me is about as subtle as a sledgehammer.
