It's the antiquated SciFi demographic idea that all fans are pimply-faced 15 year olds. I don't know what it will have to take for them to get over that.

JM reported on his blog that Nora O'Brien has been promoted. This means a new SciFi rep for SGA. Wonder if it will make a difference? Good or bad?

Hey, does anyone know if the (big!) rumors/spoilers I've seen a few times that

are true?

Because that would really suck.

I don´t think it´s true. Some fan just came with this in JM blog. Where did he get it, I don´t know.
But they can´t do it anyway. They would kill the only capable actress and interesting female character who left. No, Carter really isn´t interesting and I was never impressed by AT´s acting either.

It might be interesting character arc for McKay but do we really believe that they would make McKay serious? That they would create something where they can´t make fun from him? I don´t think so. Or better, even if it would happen in this episode, we won´t know it in the next anymore.

I think the whole thing got started when JM posted those pics of JF in the suit. Speculation ran amock and this is one possible reason for the suits (John and Ronon) that fans came up with. Personally, I like the John and Rodney's wedding idea better. LOL.

If they kill off

Jeannie, then they really don't have any regard for fan opinion. Because there has for once been almost universal like for the actress and the character. So, naturally TPTB would want to whack her.

Some info on this point that might be relevant from David Hewlett's recent interview in TV Zone:

When talking about filming Miller's Crossing and Kate coming back as Jeanie for that episode, he finished by saying, "Kate really is a pleasure to work with and I hope the writers decide to bring Jeanie back again because she's such a fun character."

From that, it sounds like the events of Miller's Crossing do not preclude Jeanie coming back for further episodes.

who is nora?

She is the SciFi representative for SGA. She gives them notes on the eps and I guess pretty much approves or disapproves scripts. I'm not sure how much power she has, but according to JM she has always been very supportive. Now she has been promoted to an NBC position and will be replaced.
