Unfortunately, TPTB do not realise they sabotaged themselves. I don't get why they booted Weir and not some other backup singer. Okay, they had to bring Sam, I love Sam more than Weir, but both would have given better ratings. Weir had a huge effect on SGA and I saw that in Mortal Coil.

I can see why Torri wouldn't want to come back as a regular - look what TPTB did to Weir while she was a regular character! (Hint: not much, kinda like what they're doing with Carter...) At least if she came in for one or two eps she might get some decent screentime, like what happened in Lifeline and TMC.

Unfortunately all characters from SGA have become plot devices, the only reason to their existence is to keep SG1 alive, be it through the rehashing of plots or welcoming SG1 characters.
