    I do want to find out whether she whumped him by divorcing him or whether she whumped him by making marriage a rough time of life for him. I so do not want him to find out about any child that was hidden from him. He needs to be tied to Atlantis completely and not have divided loyalties.

    I really hope that they figure out some way to work in his ability with the gene. He was set apart from the others in the beginning by his "natural" strength in using the gene. I would think there should be something dangerous laying about that could cause him trouble. The fan fiction writers could fax a list of ideas to the writers if they need some inspiration.

      Read JM's Blog. This part got me thinking...

      Question:
      Do you think it's a good sign that SciFi is waiting this long to reach a decision about the fate of SGA Season 5, or do you think it means nothing? I mean, I'm no expert at business so...yeah.

      2. Let’s say I understand their desire to want to see how the new season performs.

      I wonder, how are the other shows on scifi doing, like Eureka? What kind of ratings are par for the course on scifi these days?

      Just curious...

        thought I'd share a few recent pics of the condo. Got barstools, end table and night stand today, but have been doing other things around here as well and I actually have a blind in my bedroom now! LOL LIving room by the end of the month

          I have been trying find that out myself reguarding the ratings overall. I gone the scifi.com site to try to find out from time to time and have not had much success. I am curious also. It should get good ratings for new ep since the sheriff guy is 'supposed to be naked walking around the town'...Sorry, not Sheppard..forget it!

            SciFi Wire posts the ratings occasionally. I think the last one I saw for Eureka was from the week of July 22. Eureka was the top rated show for the week at a 1.6 (I think). I believe SGA's First Strike was a 1.5. I keep seeing ads for Eureka on USA (during The 4400-great show). I'm hoping they'll do something similar soon for SGA.

            The ex - I cringe at the thought of a "reunion". I hope there's a really good reason for it. I would love for her to be really nasty - Cruella DeVille nasty. In my head, I keep seeing her as caring for his dad to whom he hasn't spoken in 10 years which makes her nice not nasty. I do wonder what JM and PM envision.

            The gene - I always thought he had a stronger gene, but I guess it could just be dominant (like the one for blue eyes or something). I figured one of his parents also had the gene. I truly do not think either of them were Ancients, and he certainly isn't.

            And now - a little S4 squee!

              So, basically, the only shows that are doing anything for them are SGA and Eureka! ECW does not count in my book..

              They are the only they've got going for them IMO. SGA definitely!

                oooh, actually I'm glad to hear that becuase it means that SGA is about par for the course on Scifi. I would've been severely concerned if Eureka or any of their other shows were somewhere up in the 2's. Thats about the ratings SGA was getting at the end of season 3.

                  has such a bad track record promoting SGA, I really don't hold out much hope for them to improve on it. I hope they do and that guy GW quoted on the front page having confidence in the franchise wasn't just blowing smoke.

                      I dont mind that there is a delay in making a decision about s5. Part of me thinks if they had made one already it wouldnt have been the one that we were hoping for. But to be honest I am a little more hopeful of a s5 than I was of a s4.

                          I'm actually looking forward to it. Just think of some of Joe's other roles. One's where he's played emotional stuff, he was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! If he gets the chance to

                          play some up close and personal, emotional scenes, I, for one, will be happy, because we rarely get to see that side of Sheppard. I still hope we get to hear if his parents are alive though. I'd sort of be disappointed not to hear that, at least. But the ex-wife I'm actually really curious about. Did they marry young, are they relatively recently divorced. What is she like that she captured Shep's heart? I very much doubt SGA would go schmalzy. They just don't overdo the emotional aspect really, in fact, often I find things a little understated for my personal taste.

                          I'm still not sure. We found out in August last year that SGA was being renewed, which was really unusual on past experience. But, I think it's certainly better to wait until the first few episodes have aired, than for a decision to be rushed into. I hope the the eppie ratings are wonderful!!!!!
