Merry Christmas Eve friends!!

Thanks for all the well wishes. I am feeling a bit better today...as long as I don't move too much. Only have a couple of things to do to get ready to go to the in laws for dinner. Have a few gifts to pop into gift bags. Hubby does most of the prep for this one. He bakes bread and makes Mushroom soup. Mmmmm.

Happy Birthday to the youngest Strey Sprog! 13 is a fun age.

Cheers, poppet! Home-made mushroom soup. Yummers. Found an interesting recipe for using up stale bread. I had garlic bread, didn't want to waste it, so cut it in half lengthways, plonked it in a baking dish soaked it in milk and eggs and melted butter plus seasoning, added grated sharp cheddar, broccoli, and even the cheese powder packet from a mac'n'cheese just to make sure it was cheesy enough, and baked it until it browned nicely. My veggie peeps liked it. I can use the mac in a regular marinara sauce, but I just fancied the cheese and broccoli combo.
