They were planning on writing an episode about McKay becoming a father! However they changed their minds because it interfered with other character's arcs.
When asked where the child would come from, Mallozzi said "where do children usually come from?"

Yeah they were going to have Katie be pregnant with Rodney's baby but they scratched it.
I as hopeing they would bring Jeannie back for another episode Mckay and Mrs. Miller was one of the best episodes i've seen

I don´t want idiot McKay and if Katie can help it, I agree. I really don´t know what people do mind about her. We have seen her in 2 episodes, in every of them not more than 5 minutes. So she can suprise us.

And if is it some McShep thing as I have read somewhere- I am not a slasher so this really doesn´t bother me
I am more friendship person and some relationship of any of guys can´t destroy this friendship

Guess that's just a sympathy/antipathy thing. I just don't like her, I think she's too girlish (concerning the way she looks, talks and behaves), and frankly, that creeps me out (these big worshipping eyes are so silly...). I don't buy that she's a smart scientist working in a botany lab all day. I don't think she's the right woman for Rodney. Too much of a cliché. He needs a classy but geeky woman who supports him but also knows her own mind. Someone who's nice and down-to-earth, intelligent and quick enough to share and follow the ideas Rodney's brilliant mind produces every day, and able to give him a dressing down or a helping hand when needed. Someone who knows how to read him, how to encourage him or comfort him, knowing when he needs and allows that. Someone equal. Someone Rodney can respect and open up to as well. Imho that's not Katie (one extreme) but also not Sam (the other extreme).
