Showed the video to my colleagues today and one of them asked for an autograph.

My best friend was sharing an image from Instagram from the British Royal family account where the background is blurred but she recognized us as she knew where in the crowd we were. She added arrows and posted it on her insta -- it made me snort.

Now, about your appearance in the shot, I thought you were standing there grinning like an idiot.
You were not. You was just passing through like the other people in the background, taking an interest in the soldiers buried there.
If you had not told us you were there we would not have noticed, and would have focused on the soldier being interviewed.
Indeed. Honestly, I see that all the time in on-scene interviews on the news, with other people in the background of the shot going about their business. No worries!

Ah, but I notice things in the background all the time.

And yes, a lot of fallen soldiers to honor unfortunately. In Loos, more than half are unknown.
In the Hooghe Crater cemetery, it was even closer to 60% unknown. They don't even know how many are actually buried there cause there are stones that say "Several soldiers of the Great War".

Also, I have a habbit of reading the names out loud which can be perceived as annoying by companions. Luckily not by my best friend.

Fun thing happened though. In the Hooghe Crater museum there was a line about how the technological advancements were the cause of so many war dead among the soldiers. I turned to my friend and asked if she'd seen War Horse cause there's a scene of a British batallion of cavalry attacking Germans, who are hiding behind the tree line, behind their machine guns and the Brits are literally using swords so they are no match for it.
There's a shot of Tom Hiddleston realizing that same fact when the next thing you see is the horses galloping past with no riders anymore. However, I couldn't remember Hiddleston's name so I said Loki instead.

Then we visited Tyne Cot and we pass the first row of graves, and the name on the third headstone was Hiddleston which then jogged my memory and I went "Hiddleston, Tom... not Loki... that's his name."

Good morning, Sparkies! Happy Lazy Sunday!

Here's this week's College Football Roundup! It was a mostly awesome day as USC beat Wisconsin 38-21, Rhode Island had a bye, and in the race for the Atlantis Cup, Air Force lost AGAIN this time to Wyoming 31-19, and Navy beat UAB 41-18. Uh oh, the Falcons are in trouble... On to next week!

This is not good! NOT GOOD!

Perhaps I should write them a strongly worded letter. WINNING is what they must do. Spread those wings and fly ... but don't forget the ball.

Indeed. And I can well imagine Sheppard and Lorne are NOT AMUSED at the sly jokes floating around Atlantis every Sunday morning on the PT run...

Today was a good day cause one department at my outsourcing job decided to no longer use automated processes so the process I was building a flowchart for, and which was going ridiculously slow and would have been a pain to develop, is scrapped. I could hardly contain my joy when I was informed.

I know, I know... I love a good challenge sometimes but this would not have been it.

OH dammit... the bloody Falcons lost again, to the seafaring Navy no less... They wiped the floor with them, or in the case of football, the field.
