Pretty good. Got part of my Valentine's Day prequel to Dellruby for her to look over. She's also going to be writing the scenes that I have no experience with as of right now.

And I'm going to try and post it on the actual day. I'm also working on the next chapter for TWGO.

I really hope you will be able to finish the one in time for Valentine's day, and then yeah, it would be great to see what happens next in TWGO.

I'll warn you, its still not going to be good. I'm also out of communication with my main beta reader, so I don't have her to bounce ideas off of.

                        Spoiler:
Honestly i don’t know what to think about it. I mean in a way i think it is being a good documentary (i haven’t watched all of it yet, only one hour or so) but on the other hand i feel kind of angry with it. I mean they talk about Atlantis sure, but Torri and Joe seem to be only extras, very important extras because they show some of their scenes (most of times they are not together in the scenes only in one around 40 – 45 minutes they show a scene in which both of them are really close, but the scene was so fast that i can’t tell you now which scene was! ).

Then there is this part in which they talk about the importance of women in Stargate, they say that usually women in Sci-fi never have important roles and so on, but the thing is, for someone who doesn’t know about Stargate and is watching this documentary, they will definitely think that Carter and Teyla are the only important women in Stargate, (as if Teyla’s role has ever been quite developed) and although they show scenes of Elizabeth, not a single word about her is said!!! I am more than angry with this!!!!!

Carl Binder talks quite a lot and he says that SGU ended up being his favourite, he also says that he wasn’t or at least didn’t feel so comfortable writing Sci-fi, and he also said that he would go to the internet and check what fans were saying and he would usually notice that fans would point out certain mistakes he had made in his story, whether related with facts of the show, or something like that.

David Hewlett also talks and he said (and this i didn’t know) that when he was picked to act in SGA he had initially gone to do a casting to another character, but then they recognise him as being the McKay from SG1 and that’s how he ended up being part of the SGA cast.

Rachel Luttrel also talks and she speaks about how she was worried about the time in which she was pregnant but she said that the writers were able to fit her condition in the story and she also talked something about the love story between her and Kanaan, she used the words “love story”, so once again here is the proof that someone (namily the person who is writing the legacy books) should hear from Rachel’s mouth!!!!

But anyway, i still have 30 minutes or so to watch let’s see what else i can find out.

Oh please bare in mind that i don’t speak French, but i can understand it, well not perfectly but enough to be able to understand most things, but it would be great to hear someone who actually speaks French comment about this documentary, though.
                        Thanks for posting this Pearl.

Some of you might not care to go to JMallozz's blog but he's doing a review of the episodes (he doesn't really go into much depth about them though). Here is what he posted about Ghost in The Machine:

                            GHOST IN THE MACHINE (505)
Another one of Carl Binder’s infernal “ghost” episodes! Have to hand it to him though. He was damn good at them.

This one was bittersweet for a host of reasons, the chiefest, of course, being the fact that it marked the final appearance of Elizabeth Weir (in new replicator form, mind you). The original ending was a little more open-ended but, once were unable to secure Torri for a return appearance, it was decided to rewrite the script and offer closure to that particular storyline. I often like to think that, if things had turned out differently – IF the show had been picked up for a sixth season and IF Torri had been amenable to a return appearance – we could have found a way to re-introduce the real Weir to the Stargate universe. In my mind, Oberoth’s claim to have killed the real Elizabeth was an obvious lie. Why dispose of such a valuable asset, someone with such intimate knowledge of Atlantis and the Stargate program? It’s more probable that Oberoth kept Elizabeth in stasis at a secret location – only to perish with that knowledge.

Somewhere out there in the Pegasus Galaxy, Elizabeth Weir is waiting to be rescued!

                              Oooh, nice find, Lythisrose!

I am smiling the smile of wicked contentment as the Weir-haters gnash their teeth in impotent fury. Sparkies/Weir-fans and Mallozzi may not have always agreed on how things were handled on the show, but I have to give him credit for acknowledging on numerous occasions that WEIR IS NOT DEAD, DARNIT.

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon. Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

Hi Pearl, I just took the time to read your summary of the documentary as I can't really understand French. I agree with you. Of all the things you wrote the thing that angered me most while being a Sparky shipper is that Weir does not seem to get props for her role as a woman. I don't know about any of you but of all the incarnations of Stargate I think that Elizabeth Weir is by far the best female character and the strongest. Okay, so she's not a fighter but she is so much more. She is a strong, independant intelligent woman who uses the power of words as her weapon. She ins incredible.

If my daughter grows up to be a Stargate fan I would want her to see Weir as a role model - because she is a great woman in the truest sense of the words
