Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread
Seriously, though... it is rather interesting, isn't it? Just what is his real agenda?
Well, this is the cynic in me, but I'm in the boat that wonders if the movie is ever going to get made. If it's not, it makes perfect sense to start giving out bits of information like something that wasn't clear in the finale, or a cool storyline you had in mind for a character that was written off. Don't get me wrong, I hope they do make the movie. I might even watch now that I don't have to worry about the elephant in the room. I just have my doubts.
My sister's horse was great. Our washing line was out in the paddock, so I'd walk out with a basket of washing (yes, guys do washing too), then jump on the horse and ride out to the washing line. It was only about 100m or so but really convenient. Except if I didn't pat her then the sadistic creature would slober on my clothes.
And then you had more laundry to do!
Too much?
LOL, no. As the only girl and the youngest as well with 3 older brothers, I've pretty much heard it all.
Spoiler:
I must be the only one who thought that death scene was lame. Not Teyla and Rodney's reactions, but the death itself. Couldn't they find a bigger knife? Knives are really cheap
You know I hadn't really thought
Spoiler:
about the method. I just thought the fact that he died in battle was appropriate. I'll have to rewatch that sometime and pay attention to the knife.
Amen to that! Why get invested in the characters and how they connect with each other when those characters (and connections) are going to get torpedoed for the sake of "reality." FCOL - it's scifi people! I don't watch scifi for huge doses of reality......
For the most part, I don't either. You know, they didn't feel the need to really mess with the SG1 cast like they did with SGA. Why is that? I suppose the exception was Janet and I think they thought they were going to be done at the end of that season.
But it's hard for me because on the one hand it's nice to have all the characters there for the full run of a show. But on the other hand, if someone leaves or dies, it can lead to some great stuff. It's all in the execution. And unfortunately, we know too much behind the scenes stuff in this day and age, and that plays into it as well.

You do so much good work I can't green you anymore!
I need to watch that show. Seems like every day I run across another person who loves it. Will I be lost if I start in the middle of the season?
I'm a cynic too. It won't surprise me on the movie either way.
And on the Mentalist. It's like NCIS or CSI, different every week. The only thing that might confuse you is stuff about Jane's background and you can get all the info you need here.

Visit us at SGA Rising for our version of season six.

Cool, thanks. I'll try to remember to watch next week.
